Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - Happy Wednesday!

Regular Math (Periods 1, 2 and 6)

Chapter 7 (Constructions and Scale Drawings)
Objective: I will find a scale factor in a given problem.

Vocabulary: A scale is the ratio that compares the measurement in the drawing or model to the actual measurements of an object. The units can be the same or different. For example, the scale of a model airplane could be 1cm:3ft (notice that one of the units is cm and the other is ft.)

Scale Factor is a scale, but the units MUST be the same. For example, the scale factor for a model car could be 1in:10in (notice that the units are the same) so the scale factor is X10.
