Thursday, February 22, 2018 - Happy Thursday!

Regular Math (Periods 1, 2 and 6)

Chapter 7 (Constructions and Scale Drawings)
Objective: I will use scale drawings to find actual perimeters and areas.

Vocabulary: A scale is the ratio that compares the measurement in the drawing or model to the actual measurements of an object. The units can be the same or different. For example, the scale of a model airplane could be 1cm:3ft (notice that one of the units is cm and the other is ft.)

Scale Factor is a scale, but the units MUST be the same. For example, the scale factor for a model car could be 1in:10in (notice that the units are the same) so the scale factor is X10.

Classroom:  Scale Factor to Area and Perimeter Lesson.
Chapter 7 Practice Test (#'s 1-18) in the TB on page 310.

Homework:  Complete the Chapter 7 Practice Test (started in class)

Notes:  Chapter 7 Unit Test is tomorrow, Friday, February 23rd!
